AI Phone Receptionist

Hindi AI receptionist that understands Hinglish

Most AI phone assistants are built for English callers. Phonazo is built for Indian callers who mix Hindi and English in one sentence, and it switches language when the caller does.

Phonazo is not live yet; this is a pre-order. It is an appointment and information assistant, not a medical service: it does not give medical advice or handle emergencies. In an emergency callers are told to call 112 (India). Calculator results on this page are estimates from the numbers you enter.

Free: how much are missed calls costing you?

Put in your own numbers from your phone's call log. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Revenue lost a month

₹52,000

That is about ₹6,24,000 a year walking to the next number on Google Maps.

Your missed calls cost more than a receptionist's salary (₹15,000), and a receptionist still misses calls after hours and when on another line.

Estimate only, from the numbers you entered. Not every missed caller is lost: some call back. Lower "Answered callers who book" if you want a cautious figure.

Free: build your receptionist script and WhatsApp away message

A ready call script with your prices, timings and urgent-call rules, in Hinglish, Hindi or English. Give it to your staff today; it's also exactly what Phonazo is set up with.

To use the away message today: WhatsApp Business app → Settings → Business tools → Away message. It replies to people who message you while you're away; it does not answer phone calls.

Why people use Phonazo

When the doctor is with a patient or the stylist has wet hands, the phone rings out. Most callers don't leave a voicemail; they dial the next clinic on Google Maps. A full-time receptionist costs about ₹12,000-20,000 a month and still goes home at 8 pm and takes Sundays off. The AI receptionists sold abroad speak English and Spanish, not the Hinglish your patients speak, and some Indian agencies that build Hindi voice bots charge a large setup fee before you hear a single call. Phonazo is being built for the small Indian clinic, salon or studio: it picks up the calls you miss, speaks the way your callers speak, books the slot and sends the confirmation on WhatsApp, and hands anything urgent or tricky straight to you.

  • ✓ Answers when you are busy, closed or on another call - no extra phone or new number; you forward your existing number on busy / no answer
  • ✓ Speaks Hindi, English and Hinglish, and switches when the caller switches
  • ✓ Books, moves and cancels appointments in your calendar using your own slots and rules
  • ✓ WhatsApp confirmation to the caller and a short call summary to you after every call
  • ✓ Answers your FAQs: fees, timings, address, parking, which doctor is in on which day
  • ✓ Never gives medical advice: emergencies are told to call 112 and urgent calls are passed to your number
  • ✓ Free setup for founding members: we write your call script and FAQ sheet with you

Includes: Up to 500 calls / month · Hindi, English and Hinglish · Google Calendar booking · WhatsApp confirmations and call summaries · Urgent calls passed to your phone

Frequently asked questions

Is this live? What exactly am I paying for?

Not yet. Phonazo is in pre-order and the pilot is planned within about 60 days. The ₹499 (or $10) is a founding-member deposit: it reserves a pilot spot, includes free setup, and is credited to your first month. If you change your mind at any point before your line goes live, you get the full amount back. You can also join the free waitlist instead.

How much will it cost per month after launch?

The monthly plan price will be confirmed to you in writing before go-live, based on the call volume you tell us. Founding members keep that price for 12 months. If it doesn't make sense for your business, ask for a refund of the ₹499 deposit - no questions. Use the calculator on this page to see what your missed calls cost you today, so you can judge the price when it comes.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You keep your existing mobile or landline number and turn on conditional call forwarding (forward when busy, not answered or switched off) to your Phonazo line. Your phone still rings first; Phonazo picks up only the calls you miss. On most Indian mobiles this is a short dial code or a setting in the phone app; we send exact steps for your operator during setup.

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes. The greeting says it is the clinic's or salon's AI assistant. People accept that easily when the call gets their question answered or their slot booked; they get annoyed when a bot pretends to be human. Anyone who asks for a person is passed to your number or promised a call back.

What will it not do?

It will not give medical, legal or price-negotiation advice, take payments over the phone, or argue with an angry customer. Emergencies (chest pain, heavy bleeding, an accident) are told to call 112 or go to the nearest hospital, and you are alerted at once. Complaints, refunds and anything it is unsure about are passed to you with a summary.

Which calendars and clinic software will it work with?

The pilot books into Google Calendar, and can also use a simple slot sheet we set up with you. If you use clinic software such as Practo or a salon app, tell us when you reserve; we are prioritising integrations by what founding members use, and we'll tell you honestly before go-live whether yours is supported.

Which languages does it speak?

Hindi, English and Hinglish at launch, switching to match the caller. Tell us when you reserve if you need Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali or Gujarati; we'll add regional languages in the order founding members ask for them.

What happens to call recordings and patient details?

Callers are told at the start that the call is answered by an AI assistant and may be recorded. Call transcripts and summaries are shown only to you, are used only to run your receptionist, and can be deleted on request. For clinics, Phonazo collects only what is needed to book (name, phone number, reason for visit in the caller's words) and does not ask for medical history.

Can I use it in the US or elsewhere?

The pilot starts in India. US and other businesses can reserve now ($10 deposit, same refund terms); English and Spanish answering for US numbers is planned after the Indian pilot. If you need something today, US services such as Rosie, Goodcall or Smith.ai are already live.

What can I do for free right now?

Two things on this page: work out how much your missed calls are costing you, and build your receptionist script and WhatsApp Business away message. The script works today for a human receptionist too, and it is exactly what we load into your Phonazo line at setup.
